It has felt like spring, but it’s still winter. Colder weather this weekend will be a good reminder of that before we warm again next week.
Hardwood mulch application was about 98% completed before the rain came in Friday afternoon. Preemergent weed control and any other required weed control measures were applied ahead of mulch application. Second round preemergent will be applied early summer. We have identified and mapped areas around the community that still need to be completed. Milosi detail crews will be completing these small areas on Monday or Tuesday as well as completing manager walkthroughs and final clean up of the mulching project.
Annual planting beds were not mulched with hardwood mulch. These planting beds will need to be mulched using alternative products when your annual plantings happen starting next month.
Any homeowners that ordered alternative mulch types from Milosi: being year one, the lead time for this season is about 2 weeks after community hardwood mulch installation. They are hopeful to streamline the process and have alternative products delivered more timely if we have them back next season.
