Updated Pool and Tennis Court Locks

**Important amenities access information**

Dear Abbotsford Residents,

The traditional security key blanks used on our property for the pool, tennis courts, and restrooms are no longer being manufactured as of last year. Having exhausted our supply of pre-ordered keys, we were prompted to make an upgrade to the lock systems. After reviewing the updated keying options and taking into account previous and future security and expansion concerns, we have opted to replace the traditional locks on all amenities areas with updated Door King electronic access locks.

This upgrade brings several significant benefits:

1. Enhanced Security: Electronic locks offer higher levels of security, including time limited access, reducing the risk of unauthorized access and ensuring a better environment for all residents.

2. Improved Access Control: With electronic locks, we can easily manage and update access permissions, ensuring that only authorized individuals can enter amenities areas.

3. Activity Monitoring: These locks allow us to monitor entry times and usage, helping us improve the overall security and responsibility for our amenities.

Residents will be provided key fobs as an exchange for their existing keys at no charge. If you cannot locate your old key and need to order a replacement (or additional) key fob, there will be a fee of $25.  

We believe this upgrade will greatly enhance the safety and convenience of accessing our community facilities. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we make this important transition.

Instructions for Key Exchange

  1. Place Your Key in an Envelope:
  • Put your current key in an envelope.
  • Write your address on the envelope.
  1. Drop the Envelope in the Community Dropbox:
  • Location: 100 Abbottsford, Guardhouse, near the entrance.
  1. Receive Your New Key:
  • I will get a new key fob coded.
  • The new key fob will be returned to your mailbox as soon as possible in the same envelope.
  • Please note that additional or replacement fobs are $25 per HOA guidelines.
