Updated Pool and Tennis Court Locks

**Important amenities access information**

Dear Abbotsford Residents,

The traditional security key blanks used on our property for the pool, tennis courts, and restrooms are no longer being manufactured as of last year. Having exhausted our supply of pre-ordered keys, we were prompted to make an upgrade to the lock systems. After reviewing the updated keying options and taking into account previous and future security and expansion concerns, we have opted to replace the traditional locks on all amenities areas with updated Door King electronic access locks.

This upgrade brings several significant benefits:

1. Enhanced Security: Electronic locks offer higher levels of security, including time limited access, reducing the risk of unauthorized access and ensuring a better environment for all residents.

2. Improved Access Control: With electronic locks, we can easily manage and update access permissions, ensuring that only authorized individuals can enter amenities areas.

3. Activity Monitoring: These locks allow us to monitor entry times and usage, helping us improve the overall security and responsibility for our amenities.

Residents will be provided key fobs as an exchange for their existing keys at no charge. If you cannot locate your old key and need to order a replacement (or additional) key fob, there will be a fee of $25.

We believe this upgrade will greatly enhance the safety and convenience of accessing our community facilities. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we make this important transition.

TN Champion Tree Award

ABBOTTSFORD Resident Named a “World Champion!”

Walter Knestrick (Bowring Park) and his partner Rex Lawler of Terre Haut, IN, both 87
years old, recently participated in the HUNTSMAN Senior World Games in St George,
Utah, and each took home TWO Gold Medals in Pickleball. Their medals were for their
performance in the Men’s Doubles over 85, where they played 5 other teams, and
Men’s Doubles 4.0 Skill Level over 85, where they were pitted against 13 other teams.

The Huntsman Senior World Games have been played for 37 years in St. George, with
competitions in a number of sports. This year the tournament was held October 7-19
and hosted more than 11,000 players from 31 countries, including 1,066 senior
pickleball players.

Knestrick and Lawler have taken medals in several national senior tournaments over
the years, but Knestrick said going gold in this tournament was a thrill of a lifetime – and
will probably mark the end of his national and international tournament play. “On top is
a good place to stop,” Knestrick said, “although I will continue playing with friends here
in Nashville and in Florida as long as I can! I am just proud that Nashville can say that
our city has a “World Champion senior pickleball player!”

Solicitations

-From the on site manager-

Dear Community Members,

I am writing to inform you of a recent incident involving a solicitor in our community. Several residents reported that an individual was going door-to-door asking for donations/sales, which is a violation of our no-solicitation policy.

To ensure continued safety and comfort, residents should continue to report any such incidents to the HOA immediately. If residents feel unsafe in their homes at any time or witness suspicious activity, they should contact local law enforcement for immediate assistance.

Additionally, I will personally address any solicitors if I am on-site during such incidents to reinforce our no-solicitation policy.

Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your continued help in maintaining the security of our community.
